Watch Nigeria Elections is an independent, non-partisan civic technology platform dedicated to promoting transparency, accountability, and public trust in Nigeria's electoral process. Our editorial mission is to provide Nigerians with accurate, timely, and verified information about elections, civic education, and democratic governance — without fear, favor, or partisan bias. We publish original reporting, explainers, analysis, and educational content that helps citizens understand and participate meaningfully in Nigeria's democracy.

Every article published on Watch Nigeria Elections must meet the following standards: (a) Accuracy — facts, figures, names, dates, and quotes are verified against credible sources before publication; (b) Originality — content is written by our editorial team or commissioned contributors and is not plagiarized or republished without attribution; (c) Balance — where a topic involves competing political interests, we present multiple perspectives fairly and do not endorse any political party, candidate, or government; (d) Transparency — we clearly distinguish between reported facts, analysis, and opinion, and we disclose sources wherever possible without endangering them; (e) Corrections — when we publish an error, we correct it promptly and note the correction at the bottom of the affected article.

Our editorial team draws on the following sources: official INEC publications and data; verified field reports from our network of trained, identity-verified election agents; on-the-record statements from named officials; accredited domestic and international election observers; and reputable Nigerian and international media. We do not publish unverified rumors, anonymous claims, or content from sources we cannot corroborate. Where a source requests anonymity for safety reasons, we apply additional scrutiny to the claim and seek independent confirmation before publishing.

Watch Nigeria Elections displays advertisements served by Google AdSense and other approved advertising partners. All advertising on our Platform is clearly distinguishable from editorial content. We do not allow advertisers to influence our editorial coverage, and we do not publish "sponsored" or "advertorial" content disguised as independent reporting. Any sponsored content, where it exists, is prominently labeled as such. Our advertising partners do not review, approve, or influence our articles. Editorial decisions are made independently of our commercial relationships.

Watch Nigeria Elections does not endorse, support, or oppose any political party, candidate, or government. Our coverage of political figures, parties, and policies is driven solely by their relevance to Nigeria's democratic process and public interest. We do not accept funding from political parties, candidates, or their affiliated organizations. Our editorial team operates independently of the platform's commercial and technical operations, and no advertiser, sponsor, or partner has authority over editorial content.

Content submitted by field agents — including election results, incident reports, live feeds, and photographs — is reviewed by our editorial and administrative team before being published as verified content. Unverified agent submissions are clearly labeled as "pending" or "unverified" until they pass our review process. We reserve the right to remove user-generated content that is false, misleading, defamatory, or in violation of our Terms of Service.

All editorial content published on Watch Nigeria Elections is the original work of our editorial team unless otherwise stated and attributed. We respect intellectual property rights and expect our readers to do the same. Reproduction of our content is permitted with proper attribution and a link back to the original article, in accordance with fair use principles.
