Osun 2026 — Election Day Posts

🇳🇬🗳️ OSUN DECIDES 2026 — VOTING HAS ENDED. THE COUNTING BEGINS.

Across all 30 Local Government Areas of Osun State, Nigerians came out in their numbers today to choose their next governor. From the busy streets of Osogbo to the rural wards of Ifedayo and Ola Oluwa, citizens braved the rain and the sun to make their voices heard. 🌧️☀️

Here's what we recorded on the ground:

✅ BVAS accreditation ran smoothly in most polling units, with voters commending INEC for a largely orderly process.
✅ Heavy security presence across all 30 LGAs — no major violent incident reported as of press time.
✅ Voter turnout projected to surpass the 2022 Osun governorship election.
✅ A few isolated irregularities — alleged vote-buying in Irewole and Isokan, intimidation in a unit in Ede North, and a delayed opening in Ila — were logged and escalated to INEC.

🙌🏾 NONE of this would be possible without our trained Watch Nigeria Elections Field Agents — deployed across the state, observing accreditation, monitoring conduct, and reporting everything they saw in real time. They stood in the rain. They stayed till the last voter cast their ballot. They are the eyes of Nigerian democracy today. 👁️

Now that voting has ended, we are bringing you:
